Essential Digital Skills Qualifications (EDSQs)

We have two new Essential Digital Skills Qualifications – Entry 3 and Level 1 Award in Essential Digital Skills for Work & Life. These qualifications are mapped to the National Occupational Standards for Essential Digital Skills and are ideal for adults with little or no digital skills. These are fully funded under the Legal Entitlement Offer for learners aged 19+.

Ascentis offers a range of vocational AEB funded qualifications that can be used individually or as part of a wider programme of learning.

Level 2 Award in Infection Prevention and Control – this qualification is designed to give learners a good understanding of the causes of infection and how these can be controlled in relevant settings, such as hospitals and care homes. It is mapped to the National Occupational Standards (NOS), and can be delivered in the workplace, as a classroom-based course or as a blended learning programme.

Ascentis ESOL IQA Webinar

What will the Webinar cover? The webinar is free to join and will include information and advice on ESOL Quality Assurance as well as the opportunity to share best practice with other practitioners. You will also receive updates on Ascentis ESOL qualifications and general administration. Who can join the Webinar? ESOL Internal Quality Assurers and Managers in centres delivering Ascentis ESOL qualifications – and those involved in the Internal Quality Assurance of these qualifications – are invited to join this webinar. Who delivers the Webinar? The webinar is delivered by the Lead ESOL External Quality Assurer Ruth Simons. The Lead EQA is a subject expert in the field of ESOL and also works in centres as an EQA and so has extensive knowledge of Ascentis expectations and processes. A Quality Assurance Manager will also join the webinar to answer any QA specific questions. Why join the Webinar? Each attendee that participates in the webinar will receive a certificate of attendance which counts towards Continuing Professional Development.
