What is an Awarding body?
Awarding bodies, awarding organisations and exam boards are all terms used to describe an organisation that develops, designs, and awards qualifications. These qualifications offer knowledge and skills measured by an assessment and quality assurance process. Awarding bodies are strictly regulated to ensure that the resources and qualifications they approve are to the highest standard. Ascentis are proud to be one of the UK’s top awarding bodies, offering our expertise in developing qualifications, to meet the needs of the employers and learners undertaking them.
What qualifications does Ascentis offer?
Ascentis is an awarding body with a difference. Established in 1975 with the aim of improving people's lives, we create qualifications that are recognised and valued by employers across both national and international markets. Many of our qualifications are created in partnership with education providers and are designed to meet the needs of learners, enabling them to progress onto further study or work.
Ascentis offers a portfolio of user-friendly qualifications and has a flexible and learner-friendly ethos. Our Digital qualifications cover creating and editing, communicating and more. Our Access to HE qualifications are flexible to meet your needs. We also offer English and Maths and ESOL qualifications, as well as qualifications in specialist areas such as customer service, retail and estate agency.
