Support non-native English speakers to integrate into the UK
Ascentis is the #1 ESOL provider in the UK and we offer specialist resources to help learners with ESOL.
Our resources are designed to help non-native English speakers including immigrants, refugees and asylum seekers and people from settled minority communities to integrate into the UK system. As the number of non-native speakers in the UK increases, as does the need for English language support and the ESOL market.
People joining the UK as refugees are also eligible for ESOL funding via the AEB, with £850* funding available per learner. Also available is a minimum of eight hours’ tuition per week, with additional funding for childcare to enable adults to attend ESOL classes.
Ascentis offers specialist resources to help aid the provision of ESOL for this growing market. Our resources ‘My Story’ and ‘My Area’ provide opportunities to develop pre-entry learners’ skills in listening, speaking, reading and writing.
These resources help learners develop their language to a standard that will enable them to undertake further study in the UK. Our flexible ESOL qualifications provide learners with the chance to learn in a range of settings and builds their confidence in reading, writing and spelling to be able to tell their personal stories in English. Written and developed by subject experts, these activities offer a more personalised language learning programme and truly prepare learners for the next step. Units include ‘Advice in my local area’, ‘My local council’ and ‘Living in the UK’.
Our resources are designed to support learners not just with vocabulary and grammar, but also to improve their understanding of British culture so that they can be more confident in becoming part of the community.
