New Anglia Local Skills
New Anglia comprising of Norfolk and Suffolk released their first iteration of the Local Skills Report in February 2021. As you may be aware the Skills Advisory Panel that has come together to write this report consists of local employers, skill providers and key stakeholders throughout the region.
According to this report, New Anglia have an above average rate of employment; however, there are some skill gaps that the Skills Report suggest need to be supported. A particular priority if the lack of basic skills in the region. Qualifications that are typically used to break down this barrier are English, Maths and Digital Skills.

Essential Digital Skills
These brand new qualifications at Entry 3 and Level 1 provide adults with the essential digital skills for day-to-day life and work, and allow them to navigate and progress in the digital world with confidence. They are mapped to the National Standards for Essential Digital Skills and are fully funded under a new legal entitlement. Tutor guidance is provided to help you teach these qualifications and learners are encouraged to use digital devices throughout the course of the qualifications, giving them an extra opportunity to engage with the online facilities and a range of software.
