New Anglia Local Skills

New Anglia comprising of Norfolk and Suffolk released their first iteration of the Local Skills Report in February 2021. As you may be aware the Skills Advisory Panel that has come together to write this report consists of local employers, skill providers and key stakeholders throughout the region.

According to this report, New Anglia have an above average rate of employment; however, there are some skill gaps that the Skills Report suggest need to be supported. A particular priority if the lack of basic skills in the region. Qualifications that are typically used to break down this barrier are English, Maths and Digital Skills.

Here at Ascentis we are an Awarding Organisation that has qualifications that meet all the needs of basic skills.

Furthermore, as the Countries leading Access Validating Agency, Ascentis has a wide range of Diplomas at Level 3 that will allow learners to re-skill, up-skill or help support a transition into a new career path. The benefits of choosing Ascentis for Access to HE are:

  • A choice of over 25 Diploma titles including Allied Health Professions, Business, Engineering and Nursing & Midwifery
  • New written assessments for core units
  • New Ascentis-devised assignment brief bank, which includes over 2,000 briefs and practice assessments
  • New interactive workbooks designed to promote independence and further research which can be completed remotely.
