Ascentis Learner Shortlisted for FAB Award
We are delighted to announce that Ibrahim Alwadi, an Ascentis ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) student, has been shortlisted in the Learner of the Year category of the 2023 FAB Awards.
Ibrahim is a highly motivated and dedicated learner who has shown exceptional progress during his course at Cardiff and Vale College whilst overcoming some significant challenges along the way. He has consistently exceeded expectations and demonstrated a real passion for his studies, through hard work, dedication and ability to overcome adversity.
The Federation of Awarding Bodies (FAB) Awards are the UK's premier awards for the further education and skills sector. They celebrate the outstanding achievements of learners, providers, and employers in this sector. You can find out more about the FAB Awards here.
The Learner of the Year category recognises learners who have demonstrated exceptional progress and achievement during their studies. Learners are nominated by their providers and the finalists are selected by a panel of judges. The FAB Awards will be held on the 30th November 2023 at the Marriott Hotel in Leicester.
