Ascentis is one of the UK’s leading educational charities and we have partnered with ACADSOC to create a bespoke level 4 (one-to-one online) teaching qualification to up-skill more than 20,000 teachers worldwide.
Founded in 1975, Ascentis transforms the lives of around 170,000 people every year through its range of cutting-edge qualifications and specialist software and the charity’s board are thrilled to be extending their reach to Asia. “I am delighted that Ascentis will be working in partnership with ACADSOC to train thousands of people world-wide and support the ambitious educational objectives of The People’s Republic of China", Phil Wilkinson, CEO Ascentis.
ACADSOC Limited, founded in 2011, is a Shenzhen-based company with offices in Hong Kong, New York and the most recent addition as a result of the partnership in Edinburgh. As one of the earliest established online ESL education enterprises in China, they are committed to providing top-quality online one-to-one English learning, English speaking training and study-abroad services with over 15,000 staff globally. Dr Lee, CEO of ACADSOC said: ''This is a wonderful example of an international collaboration to ensure that all our future tutors are skilled in teaching English to young Chinese learners.''
In honour of Chinese tradition a contract signing ceremony took place on 1st July at Prestonfield House in Edinburgh, with representatives from both companies in attendance. The day included details of the UK-China link and future plans of this new partnership.
