Ascentis is one of the UK’s leading educational charities that transforms the lives of around 170,000 people every year through our range of qualifications and specialist software. We work closely with colleges, schools, independent training organisations and universities to design cutting-edge qualifications to enable people to progress to further study, higher education and employment. 

The Ascentis Group is made up of Ascentis which also has a subsidiary company called International Dyslexia Learning Solutions Ltd. (IDLS). IDLS provides specialist multi-sensory software programmes to primary and secondary schools in the UK and internationally. The focus of IDLS is to provide learning solutions to those with literacy and numeracy needs. Today the software is used by thousands of children across the world.

Wellbeing Action Plan

Here at Ascentis, we are passionate about employee wellbeing, and that is why we have introduced a Wellbeing Action Plan. Our action plan looks at mental, physical, financial, environmental and social aspects of wellbeing. The strategy is reviewed regularly and is communicated through activities, awareness days, internal communications and mental health training for all of our line managers.

The future of Access to HE Programmes in the new FE and Skills environment

Ascentis in association with e-Memoir Suitable for Directors of Curriculum, Access to HE Managers, Planning and Funding Managers and Data Managers. Access to HE provision is an important part of the FE and skills offer for adults seeking to progress to HE programmes but it is facing significant challenges in the new FE and skills environment. The Skills and Post-16 Education Act and Levelling Up and Regeneration Bill as well as the reviews of qualifications at level 3 and below, greater devolution of adult funding, increased use of remote learning, and the introduction of T levels, will together put significant pressure on FE colleges and other providers to review their curriculum offer and delivery.
