Essential Digital Skills
To ensure your learners are prepared for the Essential Digital Skills Qualifications (EDSQs) that will be available for teaching in September 2020 Ascentis have mapped their current qualifications against the framework.
There new standards have been set over two levels:
Entry Level – designed for adults with little or no prior experience of using digital devices or the internet
Level 1 – designed for adults with some experience of using digital devices and the internet but lacking secure basic digital skills

To save centres time at mapping the skills required Ascentis has done this work for you. We have also developed some new qualifications to ensure all skills are covered. The criteria is:

- 2)Creating and editing
- 3)Communicating
- 4)Transacting
- 5)Being safe and responsible online
