English and Maths (Stepping Stones to Functional Skills)
In order to prepare learners for the newly reformed Functional Skills we have developed brand new English and Maths qualifications for the new academic year 2019/2020. These are:
Level 1 English (Stepping Stones to Functional Skills)
Level 1 Mathematics (Stepping Stones to Functional Skills)
These qualifications are mapped to the newly reformed Functional Skills subject content. We have developed them to help learners build confidence and to really focus in on specific skills to enable them to progress onto the new Functional Skills.
These qualifications reflect the increased challenge of the reformed Functional Skills and therefore fully prepare learners for progression onto Functional Skills.
These qualifications are broken down into individual bite-sized units to help learners ‘bridge the gap’, become confident in their ability and allow progression onto Functional Skills.
We currently offer Level 1 in English and Maths with the Entry Levels to follow later in the academic year.
