Basic Digital Skills
To ensure your learners are prepared for the Basic Digital Skills Qualifications (BDSQs) that will be available for teaching in 2020, Ascentis have mapped their current qualifications against the framework.
The draft standards were made available in September 2018 and the Consultation asked for feedback on the basic skills needed for life and work. There will be 2 levels:
‘beginner’/ Entry Level – designed for adults with little or no prior experience of using digital devices or the internet
‘essential’ Level 1 – designed for adults with some experience of using digital devices and the internet, but lacking the full range of basic digital skills needed for life and work
To save centres time at mapping the skills required Ascentis has done this work for you. We have also developed some new qualifications to ensure all skills are covered. The criteria is :
- 1)Handling information
